About Dr. Work

Work Atlanta GeorgiaDr. Frederick T. Work, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia, specializes in a wide array of aesthetic and reconstructive surgical procedures for the head and neck, breasts, trunk and extremities. Other areas of expertise include liposuction for body contouring, micro vascular surgery, pediatric surgery, and treatment of skin cancers. Dr. Work has a special interest in the prevention and management of hypertrophic and keloid scarring.

An alumnus of Georgia Tech and Morehouse College, Dr. Work completed his internship at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco, California, general surgery residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii and plastic surgery residency at Emory University where he also completed a head and neck surgery fellowship. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He was an assistant professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery at Emory University (1998-1999) and is presently assistant clinical professor at Morehouse School of Medicine. Dr. work appears as a regular contributor to Fox 5's "Good Day Atlanta" discussing plastic surgery issues. Dr. Work has privileges at all major metropolitan area hospitals. Additionally, he has his own state of the art surgery center adjoining his medical office suite. The surgery center is fully equipped, state and federally licensed, and well staffed, which enables Dr. Work and his associates to offer the newest techniques and, most importantly, provide the finest and safest care to his patients.
