About Benjamin C. Stong MD & Kalos: The Atlanta Center for Facial Plastic, Reconstructive & Laser Surgery
Kalos: The Atlanta Center for Facial Plastic, Reconstructive & Laser Surgery was started by Dr. Stong. He completed his undergraduate education at Emory University, graduating with honors. After completing his college education, Dr. Stong went on to finish medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine where he graduated in the top of his class. He then returned to Emory where he completed his internship in general surgery and then went on to complete his highly competitive, chosen, residency at the Emory Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck surgery which included extensive experience in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is also Board Certified.
Dr. Stong’s training in Head and Neck Surgery provided a foundation in surgical techniques and concepts critical to a better understanding of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Following his residency, he completed a highly competitive fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Manhattan and the greater New York area. There are less than forty of these training positions available worldwide, and they are the most highly competitive positions in plastic surgery, sought by the best medical minds in the country.
During his fellowship in New York, he was trained in the most advanced contemporary techniques available in facial plastic surgery and now delivers these procedures to the patients in his practice. Dr. Stong is a second generation physician who understands how to deliver superior results with the highest quality care. He is a dedicated family man who enjoys spending time with his twin girls, his wife, and their dog, Portis.
Dr. Stong also participates in humanitarian efforts at home and abroad sitting on the national Face to Face committee. It champions against domestic violence providing pro bono surgery to victims and is also committed to trips abroad to provide free services to children with congenital deformities, including cleft lip and palate surgery.
